KCS v6 Fundamentals

Entry-level certification to ensure common understanding of KCS basics.

KCS v6 Fundamentals Badge

The exam is based on material outlined in the KCS v6 Fundamentals Study Guide and designed with the following question in mind: If you hired someone to capture, structure, and reuse knowledge based on interactions, what would you expect them to know and understand about KCS?

KCS v6 Practices

Advanced certification to demonstrate thorough, deep, and broad understanding of KCS.

KCS v6 Practices Badge

The exam is based on material outlined in the KCS v6 Practices Study Guide and designed with the following question in mind: If you hired someone to manage or advise you on a KCS adoption, what would you expect them to know?

  • Prerequisites: Attending a KCS v6 Practices Workshop is recommended but not required. Many KCS v6 Practices Workshops provide an option that includes the certification exam.
  • Format and Pricing: $450 proctored exam of about 65 scenario-based, multiple choice questions with a 2 hour time limit. No supporting materials are allowed.

KCS v6 Trainer

Advanced certification for experienced trainers who intend to sell and deliver KCS training to people outside their company.

KCS v6 Trainer Badge

The exam is based on material outlined in the KCS v6 Trainer Certification Study Guide and qualifies someone to teach the KCS Overview, KCS v6 Practices (1.5 day, 2 day, or 2.5 day), and the KCS Leadership workshops.

KCS v6 Internal Trainer

Advanced certification for experienced trainers who intend to deliver KCS training within a specific company.

KCS v6 Internal Trainer Badge

The exam is based on material outlined in the KCS v6 Trainer Certification Study Guide and qualifies someone to teach the KCS Overview, KCS v6 Practices (1.5 day, 2 day, or 2.5 day), and the KCS Leadership workshops, as well as facilitate the KCS Assessment and Design Sessions for functions within your organization.
