Join us for monthly Deep Dive Discussions where we dive into a topic of interest to members to better understand implementation challenges and exchange best practices.

Topics are selected via member nomination and votes within the Consortium IdeaStorm (BrightIdea link - login required) as well as during the monthly ConversationStorm meetings.

Topic: Localization of Support Content

There is no silver bullet for localization and translation. Most of the Consortium members have a global support presence. Translation of support content is a topic we have discussed for some time and there are no easy answers. If you would like to be part of a discussion on what people have learned and what they are doing to address the translation challenge join us for this KCS DeepDive call.

We will discuss success with straight machine translation (MT) and hybrid models that use MT and some human pre- or post-editing. We'll also establish writing standards to improve the quality of MT and ways to know what (demand driven) content should be translated.
